I know I’m a couple of days late, but did you know that it’s “National Condom Week!?”So, what is this “National Condom Week?” Well, it’s a basically celebrated every year in the same week as Valentine’s Day.
Why? Well, it’s supposed to serve as a reminder during the “season of romance” to do our part in spreading the awareness of HIV and STD rates in the U.S. and the rest of the world.
Last year, STD infections in the United States hit a record high. Of course, this happens when all the safe sex education programs across the country, if not the entire world, was slashed.
But the National Condom Week has apparently gotten pretty big, but is it really going to make an impact on safe sex? Probably for this week only, but I highly doubt through the entire year.

It’s crazy how many STD cases there are in the United States alone. It’s probably about 19 million new cases each year. Each year! And the sad part is more than half of them are people between the ages of 15 and 24.
So, if you don’t know about it, I’ll be glad to point you in the right direction.
