If you didn’t already know, there are actually sex laws. Yes, “laws on sex.” It is rather ridiculous how the lawmakers try to restrict you within the privacy of your own home. It’s almost more ludicrous than Massachusetts trying to pass a law on parents not being able to spank their own kids at home, but that’s the U.S. for you.
As many of you guys know (by reading my blog) I have talked about some sex laws in such posts as “Many Teens Don’t Know the Sex Laws”, “Minors, Sex = Unjust Punishment”, and “Sex and Teens – the Law is Hypocritical,” because we should know about this!
Sex laws have been around for quiet sometime, though, lawmakers are too hesitant of removing them because of the consequences and repercussions they may face from conservatives. While most of these laws are not strictly enforced, you should know when and where to cover your parts.
In North Carolina – “Any man and woman found occupying the same bedroom in any hotel, public inn, or boardinghouse for any immoral purpose shall be guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor.”
Did I read and write that right? If someone walks in on YOU in a bedroom hotel, YOU’LL be charged of misdemeanor?!
In Alabama – You’ll be breaking the law by seducing “a chaste woman by means of temptation, deception, arts, flattery or a promise of marriage.”
I guess buying a woman a nice gift or flowers would be out of the question, huh? Okay, got it… check!
In Okalahoma – sort of similar to Alabama, if a guy proposes to a virgin then has sex, yet, later decides marriage isn’t for them, that guy just committed a felony.
I guess you’re going to have to marry to have sex… then fall into the high percentage of divorce rates in the U.S.
In Washington D.C. or Maryland – Virtually any sex position other than the missionary position is illegal.
No Kama Sutra for YOU!
In Utah – Performing a sexual act with an animal for money is illegal… but if there’s no money involved, you’re good.
Yes, I won't be the first to say “what in the hell?!”
In Indiana or Ohio – Male skating instructors cannot have sex with their female students… but if you’re a female instructor, feel free to sleep with all your male students! Don’t worry, it’s safe.
Please see my previous comment that ended in “what in the hell?!”
In Massachusetts (Damn, I’m in MA!) – Adultery is punishable by up to three years in prison. Also, any “unnatural and lascivious act with another person” violates a state statute.
Well, damn. I’m glad I’m faithful!
In Texas – It was reported that a woman was arrested for simply “talking” about how to use a vibrator. She was charged with breaking obscenity laws and faced up to a year in prison.
Lastly, Anywhere in the U.S. – sex with corpses = bad.
Well, damn… I swear if I get arrested for posting this… man… I’m going to be pissed!

Actually, In Ky, oran and anal sex is illegal, haha.
BREAKIN THE LAW!
There are a lot of old laws on the books that are there simply because no one's gotten around to removing them yet. It's amusing to poke fun at them, reflecting outdated and irrational ways of thinking, but cases like Joanne Webb (the Texas woman arrested for selling sex toys) are exceedingly rare, and there's usually (as in Webb's case) more to them than meets the eye. But for the most part, no DA in his/her right mind would touch such a case with a 10-foot pole, because s/he knows it would get laughed out of court by the jury (aka "jury nullification").
So, don't worry, boys and girls -- feel free to engage in all the consensual sexual activity your little heart (or other body part) desires.
