I read this article that was published just a couple weeks ago stating that U.S. adults have less sex than, well, virtually everyone else in the world. Yeah, I couldn’t believe it either. But to make matters worse, U.S. adults don’t last as long, well, ‘they spend less time doing it.’ Eh, same thing.

Durex, the condom manufacturer, conducted a survey called ‘Durex Sexual Wellbeing Global Survey’ in which they questioned over 26,000 people across 26 total countries about everything and anything having to do with their sex lives.

Are you an average American adult? Well, if you are, more than likely you’ll have sex about 85 times a year – just about once every 4.3 days – and if you think that’s a lot, it seems you’re well below the U.S. average. And if you compare U.S. averages to other countries, the global pace of sex is just about 103 times a year – somewhere around once every 3.5 days.

I’m sure if you guys counted how many times you have sex, on average, it’ll probably fall somewhere around what’s listed. Though, the average time of having sex is also less than the global average.

U.S. adults spend somewhere around 57 minutes per week having sex, and I’m sure you can do the math yourself to figure out the average time per session.

But 57 minutes per week? I know some of you energizer bunnies out there are saying “that’s it? I last longer in ONE session!”

Sure you’re right buddy.

But 57 minutes of sex per week is actually 14 minutes below the global average. So, what is that telling you? U.S. apparently isn’t the best place to find the best sex, huh?

But here are some other interesting facts from the survey:

When U.S. adults are in the bedroom –

-69 percent said they had oral sex
-62 percent said they had ‘sensual massages’
-42 percent said they enjoyed sexual fantasies

Also,

More than 50 percent of U.S. adults expect that lovers will become more experimental in the future and 57 percent look forward to people being sexually active for longer in the years to come.

Hey, I’m not saying it’s a bad thing that U.S. adults have sex 85 times a year, on average, I’m just stating some facts. If you guys want to help raise the average, feel free to do so! I’m not stopping you! ;-)
