First of all, sex is a lot more common in this day and age than before. And it seems no one waits until marriage for sex anymore, or even until they’re out of their teens. By their late teenage years, at least ¾ of all men and women have had sex and about 2/3 of sexually experienced teens have had 2 or more partners.

Damn. Well, it’s a sex world out there and that’s what we see. See monkey, do monkey… eh, I don’t know what that damn phrase was.

Okay, sorry, I fell off track from my title ‘Higher Percentage for Women to Start Having Sex at a Younger Age Than Men.’ Though, the average age of losing virginity first belongs to men. The average age for guys to lose their virginity is 16.9 while women are 17.4.

Though, looking through all the percentages from kinseyinstitute.org, when they break it down by gender and ages, women tend to have a higher percentage. Let me give you their stats:

Males

25% by age 15
37% by age 16
46% by age 17
62% by age 18
69% by age 19
85% by age 20-21
89% by age 22-24

Females

26% by age 15
40% by age 16
49% by age 17
70% by age 18
77% by age 19
81% by age 20-21
92% by age 22-24

Did anyone else find it interesting that guys typically lose their virginity, on average, before women but these stats show that by each age group, women lose their virginity more... interesting.
