Both men and women can suffer from orgasmic disorders, though; it’s a lot less common for it to happen to guys. (Sorry ladies)
For guys, when they experience difficulty in achieving sexual orgasm (orgasm strictly from sex), it’s usually due to medical reasonings, drugs or alcohol-related factors. Though, these factors can also apply to women, there are also other possible reasons for experiencing difficulty in achieving sexual orgasms.
For women, this is more likely to happen to them than guys, and it’s almost a 2 to1 ratio. But for women, there are two main conditions; it’s referred as ‘primary’ and ‘secondary.’
‘Primary’ is a condition in which the female has never experienced orgasm through any means of stimulation.
‘Secondary’ is when the female has attained orgasms in the past but currently cannot reach that point.
Some of the causes can vary from person to person. But the main reasons for these causes (besides the ones I listed earlier) are medical conditions that would’ve affected the pelvis area, hormone disorders and chronic illnesses. In addition to the physical possibilities, there are a lot of emotional causes as well. (Because we all should know sex is both physical and emotional.)
Some emotional causes could be negative attitudes towards sex in their childhood, possibly abuse or rape. Also, low libido, boredom, or monotony in sexual activity can account for ‘orgasmic dysfunction.’
Because of the seriousness of this issue, and the fact that there is still a lot more to be covered on this topic, I will eventually come back to this.
Stay tuned!
