If you don't know, high blood pressure may cause many cardiovascular risk - including potential heart attacks, which is very serious so I figure I'd include this into my blog.
You're probably asking 'What does this have to do with my sex life?' Well, they say having high blood pressure will reduce the desire and, or, satisfication of your sex life!
For men, having high blood pressure will eventually damage the lining of your blood vessels and 'promotes hardening of the arteries.' Essentially, this means less blood flow to your penis which means having a hard time getting an erection. No erection = VERY hard time with sex.
According to MayoClinic.com, "High blood pressure can also interfere with ejaculation and reduce sexual desire. Sometimes the medications used to treat high blood pressure have similar effects." So, to make matters worse, it'll be a hard time having the desire to have sex!
And for women, don't think it doesn't affect you. Actually, sexual dysfunction is more common in women than it is for men. On top of that, high blood pressure only increases that risk.
Having high blood pressure for women can reduce the blood flow to the vagina. This is lead to decrease in sexual desire or arousal. Damn, I must know a LOT of women that have high blood pressure, huh? But high blood pressure also leads to vaginal dryness and, or, difficulty having orgasms.
The main thing I've read that is suggested is to consult a doctor - and be completely honest with them! If you do have high blood pressure, there are ways to treat it and there's medications.
But I hope you guys learned something, cause I know I did! High blood pressure = sucky sex life!
